Inspiration will come from the incredible landscape of the Sierra Nevadas. We will work on exploring acrylic painting materials, color theory and building a vocabulary of our personal mark making with oil pastels, scrapers, and handmade paint brushes to make abstract paintings. Color, light and composition are the theme and focus of this workshop. All levels are welcome, come join us to rediscover your inner artist. Please bring photos or sketches you have created as a starting point.

My Family is a Forest…..
I have been awarded funding for this project from the Multicultural Center of Marin and the Marin Cultural Association.
My Family is a Forest explores and highlights lived experiences of multicultural families in Marin County. This project examines unique cultural identities and sparks conversations about belonging in our ever-changing diverse society. I aim to create and combine paintings, photography and collage artwork, and engage the participants in hands-on art activities to express and highlight their stories using the metaphor of the family tree, and biodiversity as a mirror to reflect the importance of resilience, adaptation and interdependence.

Community Arts
Artists are agents of Transformation
I consider participation in community arts projects an integral part of my practice. I have envisioned, facilitated, and completed projects in the US, UK, Africa, Haiti, and Brazil. My recent masters degree in Community Arts from Goldsmiths University, London has enabled me to refine my methodology and skill working in the field of community arts.
