Cultural Collaboration Mural
African Update I am the proud winner of the National Council for the Education of Ceramic Arts (NCECA) international residency award to Ghana, and will be traveling there in the spring to carry out a residency at the Studio Mate Ceramics in Accra. After my artist residency, I will travel north to work in Sirigu, with the Sirigu Women's Association. I am also returning to continue work with my friends in Quelimane, Mozambique, since my last trips there they have developed a Facebook page you can find out more about them and their much developed volunteer program. I also won the Globe trotting for Good competition, hosted by the Changemakers at the Ashoka foundation. This afforded me a write up in the Conde Naste Traveller magazine, about my new adventurous scheme "Global Art Expeditions", now if you want to come with me on one of my adventures you can through this program. I also networked with a whole community of people doing amazing work around the world, and have planted some seeds for projects in India. |
