Officina de Outeiro

During my work in Rio, I also met ceramic artists Regina Kemp and Marcia Limmanii. The were running ceramic classes at Marcia’s studio, with youth from the Favella of Santa Teresa. They called this project Oficina de Outeiro. Also interested in my work in Africa with disadvantaged youth they invited me to come and teach as a visiting artist. Working on the theme of  identity we created self portraits and vessels based on African pottery
